Porcelain Bloom is a small study of a blue-patterned jug, its curved surface catching a cool window reflection. The painted flowers scatter across the cobalt glaze, shifting from sharp detail to softened marks.
The blossom pattern is inspired by nineteenth-century indigo cloth. The ornament shifts subtly, revealing different shades of blue - ultramarine, indigo, cerulean, and with touches of violet.
